Campaign 2018: binding protection of human and labor rights worldwide!

Menschen- und Arbeitsrechte weltweit verbindlich schützen!

Germany has pledged to provide for socially and environmentally sustainable production methods worldwide – this includes working in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 193 UN Member States, nearly all countries on Earth, agreed in 2015 to a collaborative approach to global social, environmental, and economic problems.  To this end, they set 17 goals that apply to countries of the global North and South equally.  Protection of human and labor rights are also included in this global agenda.  And Germany still has much to do!

Your name for change!

Fair working conditions for all can only be achieved if companies are legally required to respect human rights along the supply chain.  Let’s remind politicians that they are the ones who can stop corporate exploitation of people and the environment!  On May 12, 2018, World Fair Trade Day, the campaign started: world shops throughout Germany collected signatures and sent them on to local politicians after the Fairtrade Fortnight in the fall.

World shops can find information about the petition on the world shop association’s web site under "Für Weltläden".
